Lauren Anne Arts

My name is Lauren Anne Adams. I was born in the Midwest but I’ve lived in Los Angeles for over 20 years.  I studied art at the University of Illinois and I have a Master’s degree in Painting from Illinois State University.

I work in many media, but I love working in watercolor because of the luminosity of color, and the challenge of painting precisely. These still life paintings are explorations of color and light, so some might be a little abstract. I began these as color studies while I was raising two young boys, but I got hooked on the vividness and purity of the color.
